GENERAL DESCRIPTION

At OAG Child Support, cloud computing allows us to modernize our IT infrastructure, automate builds and workloads, and pursue the next generation of technology. We're seeking an experienced cloud engineer for the Infrastructure team to build, maintain, and evolve our public and private cloud systems and solutions.
The ideal candidate will understand current cloud capabilities with an eye toward emerging technologies to help improve our existing platforms and processes. This position will perform senior-level enterprise cloud system and service deployment, design, administration, and be looked upon as a technical leader within the overall Infrastructure team.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
Design and implement secure and efficient cloud-based infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
Perform systems software and hardware reviews. Prepare and present solutions for improving and optimizing system operations, resource utilization, business applications and services. Recommend to management systems technology solutions and enterprise-related hardware and software standards.
Participate in and/or lead technical working groups strategizing for future requirements and propose architecture enhancements based on business needs and/or improving realized ROI.
Oversee and/or develop operating procedures for design, quality standards, testing, technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and innovative systems administration techniques.
Oversee and/or maintain the functionality of the systems environment. Analyze system faults. Provide triage support to troubleshoot and resolve functional and performance issues encountered in production, development, and test environments.
May lead, mentor, train, and provide technical guidance and direction to others. Oversee the training of staff prior to the implementation of systems and provides advice and guidance during the implementation process.
Assist or manage special projects and initiatives.
Work in a collaborative team environment. Communicate professionally with customer, colleagues, and peers.
Perform related work as assigned.
Maintain relevant knowledge necessary to perform essential job functions.
Attend work regularly in compliance with agreed-upon work schedule. Telework schedules are permitted for employees based on the agency's approved Telework Plan (if schedule does not adversely affect operations and service levels, and standard hours of operation are maintained).
Ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive and/or protected information.
Comply with all agency policies and procedures, including those pertaining to ethics and integrity.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Systems Administrator IV
Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent
Experience: Four years of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, management information systems, infrastructure, server or cloud design and operations; may substitute credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with systems administration and systems management
Experience with AWS/Azure or other Public Cloud platforms
Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines
Skill in effective communication
Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making
Ability to mentor junior technical staff
Ability to work autonomously and complete work efficiently and timely with high-level goals and direction
Ability to receive and respond positively to constructive feedback
Ability to work cooperatively with others in a professional environment
Ability to work in person at an OAG work location, if needed
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel
Ability to work 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel, if needed
Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA
Ability to lift and relocate 30 lbs.
Ability to travel up to 5%
Systems Administrator V: all the above qualifications plus:
Experience: One additional year of full-time experience working in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, management information systems, infrastructure, server or cloud design and operations.
