GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Note: This is a hybrid-work position which requires the ability to spend up to 40% of the time in the Austin office and work flexible hours to support application deployments as needed.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

This role will embrace a world of innovation and be a Salesforce leader. They will perform work in the design, development, and implementation of custom Salesforce applications and solutions; collaborate with both the business and user and development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications; develop and configure workflows, forms, and reports in the Salesforce platform; and conduct testing and quality assurance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

This role will be responsible for customizing, developing, and using the Salesforce application for highly complex programming projects. They will customize Salesforce applications to meet specific business needs and requirements; work closely with stakeholders to gather feedback and identify areas of improvement; implement enhancements to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement; and continuously explore new features and functionalities offered on the Salesforce platform.

This role will provide incident resolution and troubleshooting support for Salesforce applications; identify and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations; collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve system incidents; and document resolutions and maintain an organized knowledge base.

This role will manage multiple programming projects. May lead, mentor, and train others.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Programmer IV

Education: Graduation from high school or equivalent

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; experience in the following (or closely related) fields may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

Experience: Three years of full-time experience working (or coding) in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

Experience and knowledge building and maintaining custom Salesforce.com platform applications, including the ability to apply that knowledge to the current state of the business and technology and implement the plan to achieve the desired future state

Experience or working knowledge of modern cloud ecosystems, such as AWS.

Experience or working knowledge of integrating Salesforce and other systems with Mulesoft as middleware and modern cloud ecosystems

Experience working on a project using an Agile framework to develop software

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and process

Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of computer programming and systems analysis; of computer operations procedures and systems; and of computer programming languages.

Skill in problem solving, in critical thinking, in programming, in the use of hardware and software, and in modifying or developing software for applications.

Skill in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines

Skill in effective communication

Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making

Ability to work in person at an OAG work location, if needed, perform all assigned tasks at designated OAG workspace within OAG work location, and perform in-person work with coworkers (e.g., collaborating, training, mentoring) as required. Ability to work remotely as a manager-provided option, depending on work requirements and the needs of the OAG. Note: This is a hybrid-work position which requires the ability to spend up to 40% of the time in the Austin office and work after hours to support application deployments as needed.

Ability to arrange for personal transportation for business-related travel, if needed

Ability to work more than 40 hours as needed and in compliance with the FLSA

Ability to lift and relocate 10 lbs.

Ability to travel up to 5%

Programmer V - All of the above, plus:

Experience: Two additional years of full-time experience working (or coding) in the following (or closely related) fields: computer science, information technology, computer programming, data processing, or information systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with state government systems

Three years or more of experience building and maintaining custom Salesforce applications, as well as Integration experience with MuleSoft and AWS ecosystems.

Degrees and education related to computer programming, test engineering, computer systems, and information technology.

Salesforce Certifications
