Outbrain is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-focused Business Development Manager/Director to focus on the Supply partnership ecosystem with a strong emphasis on programmatic. If you are interested in joining a group of accomplished, passionate people and contributing to the global growth of our activities by managing business relationships with non-media supply providers such as OEMs, apps (including gaming apps), services, and e-commerce, as well as our programmatic partners (new deals, preferred deals), then we want to talk to you!

We are looking for a profile with a strong analytical mindset and a keen interest in new technology to work closely with new audience segments to develop the supply side of our business. The ideal candidate will have substantial business development experience within a digital environment, supported by exemplary relationship management skills. As a Business Development Manager/Director, you will take full ownership of your supply partnerships network in the Americas region, working alongside the supply partnerships account management team, and be responsible for the long-term growth of both existing and prospective clients.
A day in the life
  • Establish long-term, profitable business relationships with our supply partnerships in the Americas region.
  • Manage and negotiate preferred deals agreements for our programmatic partners.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management Team to deliver the best monetization and recommendation solutions to our platforms according to their needs.
  • Work closely with our technical team to ensure our solutions can support new supply types.
  • Identify new growth opportunities and close deals with new supply partnerships, focusing on key and strategic partners.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to finalize deals: Legal, Finance, Partnership Managers, Technical Leads - Act as a conductor within the organization.
  • Forecast growth and identify needs, working closely with our Finance Team.
  • Negotiate complex distribution contracts with supply partnerships, with support from our Legal Team.
  • Work closely with our Programmatic Team to set up programmatic direct deals with supply partners.
  • Identify and attend key industry events within the region.
What You'll Bring
  • Focus on "getting things done" in a fast-moving, competitive, and agile environment with non-traditional partners (apps, gaming, e-commerce, services, etc.).
  • Strong programmatic knowledge.
  • Highly resilient candidate - it's a bonus if you have experience with long and complex sales cycles.
  • Strong ability to handle numbers, forecasts, reporting, and the legal aspects of the role.
  • An open-minded and curious person regarding all new digital usage.
  • 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 years in programmatic.
  • Expertise in modeling and forecasting.
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating deals for a digital company or deals where an online component and revenue were central.
  • Strong experience in identifying trends in data and generating reports.
  • Experience working in the platform digital media and programmatic industry, with an understanding of the global digital and programmatic ecosystem.

The annual pay range for this position, including on-target earnings, is $160,000-215,000. The actual amount offered may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition to salary, you may be eligible for an equity package, as well as our competitive benefits and perks to support you and your family as part of Outbrain's total rewards package.
