Your primary responsibility will be to lead all aspects of strategic procurement for our Customer Services (CS) Business Unit in the US. This role will involve developing and implementing procurement strategies for our domestic markets and ensuring a high-performance supply chain. Ideally, you have extensive knowledge of local supply markets in rolling stock service and overhaul commodities, as well as experience in service and project business. Most importantly, you will mentor and lead your team of 20 Category and Project Procurement Managers, effectively addressing business expansion and encouraging a growth mindset culture.

The base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC, is $172,800 - $233,800, and the annual incentive is 20% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the resilience of the CS business unit supply chain and grow the supply base across a diverse range of categories, including rolling stock maintenance, spares, software, and infrastructure.
- Driving cost reduction initiatives across bids and multi-year projects
- Developing and implementing sustainable strategic procurement activities
- Implementing industry-leading sourcing processes and ensuring purchase-to-pay compliance.
- Driving continuous improvement and digitalization within the team and the supply chain, monitoring supply market conditions.
- Managing and engaging a global procurement network with preferred suppliers to drive innovation and performance.
- Identifying and handling procurement risks, opportunities, potential changes, and claims throughout the service lifecycle
- Building and maintaining partnerships to support both product and project segments.
- Over 10 years of experience as a Procurement Professional, with at least 5 years of leadership experience and the ability to travel approximately 30%.
- Hands-on knowledge of supply chain management and the US domestic rail service markets
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to quickly establish trust and confidence.
- International experience in collaboration and cross-functional skills
- Proficiency in electronic auctions and bids (e-Auction / e-Bid)
- Interest in digital and automated solutions
