Position Overview

The Human Resources team, located in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Process Excellence Specialist! The Global HR structure is on a rapid evolution path in step with the growth of the company. The continued success of HR requires the standardization of practices and processes globally and the optimization and maintenance of integrated, well-adapted approaches to HR work. This role will analyze and assess HR practices and identify key areas for improvement and development. The role will work with the HR leaders in corporate and the regions to design, create and implement solutions needed. This role supports the enablers of Data-Driven Decision Making and High Performing Teams, by streamlining processes to drive data integrity, as well as empowering teams and simplifying ways of working!

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Analyze, document and assess current HR practices
  • Capture in-process data to understand process pain points, measure baseline performance and set improvement targets
  • Identify areas for improvement using leading methodologies in process improvement (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, TQM)
  • Develop, align and implement solutions
  • Support establishing shared service strategy and plans for centralization of administrative HR work
  • Lead and/or contribute to global and regional projects aimed to improve and/or globally standardize and/or automize selected HR processes.
  • Work closely with global HRIS on automation and regional resources for implementation
  • Enable change management for process changes (collaborator management, documentation, training, etc)
  • Understand functional and technical requirements within each project to ensure desired outcomes.
  • Contribute to the process to create a global playbook for HR and comparable regional HR playbooks
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a framework, standards and tools for project management and -tracking within HR in order to increase effectiveness of projects execution in HR globally
  • Work with HR stakeholders to educate them on the use of process improvement tools and methods
  • Collaborate with process improvement areas outside of HR to develop HR process improvement tools

Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant area
  • 3-6 years of experience in process excellence in service function, preferably HR
  • Proficient in application of process analysis and improvement methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma, TQM, etc)
  • Ability to take an inquisitive approach to obtain process details, by getting in touch with customers and having them demonstrate process steps as needed
  • Experience in SOP development and process documentation
  • Experience with project and change management methodologies, including Agile
  • Good analytical and critical thinking and problem solving skills, willing to challenge assumptions
  • Ability to efficiently operate in a multinational and multicultural environment
  • Good communication and facilitation skills
  • Design thinking competency or willingness to acquire

Preferred qualifications
  • Masters' degree or equivalent in relevant area
  • 1-2 years of experience in HR process improvement in an industrial environment
  • Expertise in application of process analysis and improvement methodologies (such as Lean Six Sigma, TQM, etc)
  • Ability to influence others, create a vision and make a case for change
  • Expertise with project and change management methodologies, including Agile
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience in working with project management tools
  • Solid understanding of HR systems and tools
