Position Overview
The Novelis Enabling Functions Human Resources team is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support assigned functional client group. The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is responsible for providing a wide range of strategic human resource services including organization planning and design, compensation, recruitment and selection, employee training and development, employee relations, and change management to assigned client groups. The role also interacts with plant-based Human Resources representatives to align on processes, collaborate and share best practices.
This HRBP aligns business objectives with employees and management in the HR functional groups they support. This role also serves as a consultant to management on Human Resource related issues for HR. A successful HRBP will live the Novelis Culture Beliefs (Say Anything, Be Open, Build Trust, Be Authentic), act as an employee champion and change agent who can quickly build trust of both managers and employees. The incumbent assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and communicates to business management proactively, seeking to develop integrated solutions. This role formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver valuable service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. In addition, this role will look for identifying process improvement opportunities across the HR team, research best practice solutions, develop process improvement recommendations and implement initiatives and associated change management. Other special projects as identified. Seeking high energy talent that thrives in fast paced environment and very comfortable with ambiguity. Strong change management skills appreciated.

Novelis' Global Corporate Headquarters is located in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta Georgia and employs approximately 250 people. It is co-located with Novelis' North America regional office which employs approximately 225 people. Responsibilities
- This position will need to make decisions and recommendations that balance the needs of the employee and objectives of the Company. Decision-making is very broad in scope with many variables interacting at any given time.
- Provide guidance to client groups on best practices on a variety of employee related issues and situations.
- Provide support to employees and managers for timely completion of HR processes.
- Drive Talent Management initiatives in support of employee development and engagement across client groups.
- Assist with addressing performance-related issues.
- Special HR projects to include process improvement initiatives and develop ways of working across the organization including collaboration with Corporate, Region and Plant HR teams.
- Design and build positions most effective to support the business.
- Work with Compensation to evaluate jobs to determine accurate job band.
- Partner with the HR CoE in support of all people processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong Change Management experience
- Experience with project management practices
- Self-motivation to get results and complete tasks independently
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization clearly and concisely
- Must be able to organize and prioritize workload and balance multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail.
- Experience with analytics tools and reporting in order to assess state of organization
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field from an accredited college or university
- 7-10 years of progressive human resources experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
- Experience with HR systems (HRIS, icims, etc.)
