Overview
SCAG Technical Assemblers in New Berlin are assembling the SCAG Extreme Hybrid Slope Mower remote controlled machine.
Assemblers are responsible for working directly with team members as well as individually to assemble parts and subassemblies for OEM and/or SCAG products on the assembly smart lines.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities
- Assemble technical mechanical and electrical production assembly line builds to standard rate.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
- Align and fit mechanical and electrical assemblies by using templates, reading measurements, build gages, hand, DC tools and power tools.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed components by using quality gages and measuring tools to perform required checks.
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies by working with the line lead/shop manager
- Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Operate with the mindset of continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance and maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with corporate procedures, policies, and standards.
- Participate in daily meetings and bring up anything that is needed for line builds.
- Interact with management, peers, line lead, and MAG EMT's verbally and/or in written form.
- Able/willing to train, mentor, and knowledge transfer to fellow teammates.
- Pallet jack, manipulator & crane lift usage required in this role, for truck experience is a plus
- Attendance and punctuality is vital in this role
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge in electrical and mechanical blue print reading and torque values.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Ability to efficiently work in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
- Aptitude to take orders and execute the same efficiently.
- Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
- Good finger and hand dexterity.
- Able to troubleshoot and repair technical mechanical and electrical products and equipment is a plus
- Previous experience working within a highly technical environment with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment mechanical assembly.
