Established in 2020, Mini Mall Storage Properties has been successfully acquiring storage facilities throughout North America with rapid expansion in the United States. We have a team of talented and diverse self-storage experts who span across 15 states and 7 provinces to support and manage our rapid growth across North America. With over 50,000 units and almost 8 million square feet of self-storage space, our goal is to make storage simple and accessible throughout life's transitions.

The Director, Operational Training will oversee the creation, implementation, and management of company-wide training programs that focus on enhancing organizational knowledge and supporting the company's strategic objectives. The role requires close collaboration with company leaders to ensure that training aligns with business goals and addresses employee development needs. A key aspect of this role will be delivering technical training tailored specifically for sales-focused positions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and implement training strategies that align with business objectives.
- Design, develop, and continuously improve training programs that focus on enhancing sales skills and frontline employee performance.
- Lead the development of training content by utilizing virtual workshops, e-learning modules, and interactive sessions.
- Deliver training programs that are engaging and effective, ensuring they are tailored to meet the specific needs of various departments.
- Oversee the management and optimization of the LMS platform, ensuring it is user-friendly and capable of supporting various training formats.
- Ensure all training content is up-to-date and accessible, incorporating new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
- Implement metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, using feedback to make data-driven improvements.
- Conduct regular training needs assessments to identify areas for development and ensure programs remain relevant and impactful.
- Foster strong relationships across the organization to support a culture of continuous learning.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in training and development. Leading training teams would be considered an asset.
- Experience with frontline employee training and sales training would be considered an asset.
- Proven experience in managing and optimizing Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in LMS and e-learning authoring tools.
- Familiarity with emerging training technologies and methods.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess training effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align training programs with business objectives.
- Experience in industries such as retail, hospitality, or service is a plus.
- Knowledge of the latest trends in digital learning and instructional design.
- Ability to travel as needed for training delivery and collaboration with various teams.
