Job Description
Reporting to the Vice President, Operations, the Operational Program Director will be responsible for client satisfaction, growth and renewal of contracts, contractual obligation delivery, and financial requirements for their assigned projects and span of control. The role will interface with clients and staff to set up, manage, and report on various construction, integrity, and steady-state maintenance projects. Additionally, this role will ensure that assigned project-based programs adhere to established contractual schedules, specifications, and budgets. The Program Director will also be required to build and maintain positive client relationships focused on providing top-quality service in a variety of programs.
This is a full-time, in-office role in our Calgary, Alberta office. This role involves building strong client relationships, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and aligning programs with contractual requirements.

What would you be doing?
- Lead and play an active role in the delivery of FLINT's HSE policies, programs, and initiatives. Be a role model of the FLINT safety culture with all internal and external stakeholders; fostering a zero-incident safety culture as a natural part of all work performed.
- Develop strong relations with all client leaders both in the field and corporate offices in collaboration with business development account managers.
- Ensure contractual alignment in the assigned programs in meeting safety, and quality standards.
- Manage program for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
- Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams in support of the assigned programs.
- Develop and manage the budget for the overall programs where direct P/L is assigned and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives. Ensure the budget is being monitored regularly and growth opportunities are continuously reviewed.
- Work with other operational and functional managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple facilities within a program to ensure consistency.
- Ensure understanding and adherence to contract specifications for all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure payroll, invoicing, and collections are maintained within contract requirements.
- Support Supply Chain Management on contractor management to meet the contract KPIs, terms, and conditions.
- Cross-sell all FLINT services and value within all programs
- Collaboratively work with BD Management on growth strategies on assigned key growth accounts.
Does this sound like you?
- A minimum of five (5) years of program management experience is required (or significant project management experience or leadership/management experience may be considered).
- Minimum five (5) years experience interpreting and executing contracts.
- Experience with change management.
- Strong relationship-building skills and having a customer/client-focused mentality.
- Professional designations such as PMP are considered an asset.
- Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, financial, negotiation, and time management skills.
- Proven leadership experience.
- Excel, Word, Microsoft Office, and other required programs, software, and applications.
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
