Role Overview:

The Senior Social Strategist will lead the day-to-day development of social strategy and social ideas across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and more for clients. Reporting to the Social Strategy Director, the Senior Social Strategist will be responsible for ideating and developing engaging social content to help clients build an amazing social presence. This role requires proven experience in bringing numerous social ideas to life, building out content calendars, and helping brands grow their social channels through engaging content and effective social strategies.

You understand that what works on Instagram doesn't necessarily work on TikTok, that "hero videos" are an outdated approach to social media, and you know what it takes to get followers to comment things like, "marketing team deserves a raise."

You'll contribute to everything from big ideas and social playbooks to repeatable social franchises and talent/creator-led content. This role is very conceptual, driven by ideation and copywriting with a heavy focus on social. It's important that the person in this role is deeply tuned into fitness, sports, music, culture, and all things social.

Soft skills are extremely important to this team. We're looking for someone who is tapped in, passionate about the work, takes initiative, pushes their own ideas, communicates timely, collaborates cross-functionally, and solves problems with empathy.

The Sr. Social Strategist will be expected to oversee a multitude of tasks; including, but not limited to:
  • Lead the day-to-day development of social strategy and social/influencer ideas across Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and more.
  • Ideate and build social ideas and rollout plans in white sheets and Google Slides across every type of social ask (franchises, always-on, instructors, etc.).
  • Develop, build, design, and present pitch/concept decks through compelling copywriting, layout, and visuals.
  • Write strong, social-facing copy that's on TOV for the brand (pitch decks for ideas, video scripts, interview questions, captions, in-asset copy, etc.).
  • Stay tapped in on social trends and platform features to create impactful, timely social content ideas.
  • Lead updates to the social playbook, specifically: social strategy, content strategy, TOV, and content ideas.
  • Collaborate daily with SMMs to build out content calendars, Creatives to develop social concepts, and Producers to refine ideas for feasibility.
  • Collaborate weekly with the client social team to brainstorm and develop new social concepts that push channels forward.
  • Work quickly to build ideas and update plans based on internal and external feedback, moving at the speed required for social.
  • Serve as a trusted and strategic thought partner to our client and internal team by helping define and shape the brand's strategic roadmap on social media, adjusting the overall approach and strategy as needed.
  • Go from brief to execution, being able to take a client brief, build out ideas and a social plan, and follow through on the execution of creative and production.
  • Contribute creatively on everything from a big idea for a campaign or a strategy statement to a social tactic, franchise, or playbook.

Requirements:
  • 4-6 years of working in social - agency, tech, fitness, media, or brand side.
  • Portfolio of social work (fitness/sport is a plus).
  • Experience building social ideas/plans in decks.
  • Proficiency in creating Google Slides decks (design, layout, speed, familiarity).
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms (features, behaviors, how they differ).
  • Passion and love for social media, culture, music, sports, and more.
  • Excellent pitching, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Experience working on creator and influencer work.
