As Community Health Partnership’s (CHP) Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you’ll be the financial heartbeat of our organization, guiding us through the twists and turns of revenue strategy, fiscal management, compliance, risk, and everything in between. Working in our Colorado Springs office, you will report directly to our CEO and work closely with our board and leadership team as our trusted strategic financial advisor helping us maximize our resources, grow sustainably, and ensure every dollar drives impact.
What You'll Do:
As Community Health Partnership’s (CHP) Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you’ll be the financial heartbeat of our organization, guiding us through the twists and turns of revenue strategy, fiscal management, compliance, risk, and everything in between. Working in our Colorado Springs office, you will report directly to our CEO and work closely with our board and leadership team as our trusted strategic financial advisor helping us maximize our resources, grow sustainably, and ensure every dollar drives impact.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with our CEO to forecast and map out the future, leading our financial strategy while providing insights that lead to smart, mission-aligned decisions.
- Guide executive decision making and present bold initiatives to our team and Board of Directors.
- Cultivate strong relationships with our Staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committee.
- Present financial updates with precision and clarity—bring your A-game!
- Spearhead the annual budgeting process with a keen eye for detail and alignment with strategic priorities.
- Develop financial models that keep our plans practical, on-point, and help us adapt on the fly.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that support our mission and shape our future.
- Track, analyze, and course-correct to keep us ahead of the financial curve.
- Protect the organization's assets, identify and mitigate risks, manage insurance policies, and ensure we comply with regulations, so we can focus on what we do best.
- Stay up to date on nonprofit regulations and ensure we comply with all financial rules and laws—no financial surprises here!
- Keep us on track by presenting accurate financial statements and handling external audits.
- Oversee all external contracts, banking, and investment relationships—we’re counting on you!
- Partner with HR to support payroll and benefits programs.
- Develop and guide our finance team, building a collaborative and mission-driven culture across the organization.
- You have a strategic mind for revenue generation and finance, paired with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, and the ability to turn numbers into a story that inspires action.

- The ability to juggle complex priorities and deadlines without breaking a sweat.
- You’re able to break down complex financial data into simple, everyday language that anyone can understand.

- Your Qualifications & Expertise
- Master’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA or MPA preferred). CPA certification is a big plus!
- At least seven years in executive financial leadership (nonprofit sector experience is ideal).
- Expertise in financial management, budgeting, grant reporting, risk management, and nonprofit compliance.
- Demonstrated strategic thinker with the ability to plan for the long-term and align to business goals, all while keeping our mission in mind.
- Familiarity and versatility with financial software (NetSuite, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.) and Excel.
- You take financial stewardship seriously and ensure transparency.
- Salary range for this full-time position is $105,000-$115,000 / annually depending on experience.
