Job Description
We seek an experienced Construction Controller/CFO to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This role is pivotal in driving financial strategy and ensuring fiscal responsibility within our commercial and industrial construction projects, with a focus on the nuclear and power sectors. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of GAAP, auditing, and financial controls and significant expertise in construction accounting and financial management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and maximizing profitability on construction projects.
  • Oversee and ensure adherence to GAAP principles, lead internal audit testing procedures, and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
  • Manage the budgeting process, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Oversee accounting for large-scale commercial and industrial projects, including nuclear and power projects, ensuring accurate cost management, job costing, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, offering in-depth analysis to guide business operations and investment decisions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a Controller or CFO role within the commercial or industrial construction sector, with specific expertise in nuclear/power projects.
  • Proven record in GAAP compliance, auditing, and financial reporting for large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in construction environments.
  • Local and stable work history in the Phoenix area, demonstrating commitment and familiarity with regional industry standards.
