Construction Project Manager

We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to help build the network that powers the world’s largest online services.    We are looking to fill the role of Data Center Construction Project Manager. This person will coordinate with the Data Center Engineering (DCE) team and support specialty consultants to update and provide feedback based on Design (BOD). In managing the delivery of projects, this position aligns team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts with the Data Center Development Project Strategy. In doing so this will result in effective client relationship management and efficiency in cost management and project/Project delivery     The Construction Project Manager will be a relentless advocate for managing a safe worksite.  Safety is one of the four pillars of CO+I’s mission in delivering cloud capacity; joined by Quality, Schedule adherence, and Cost Management.  This person will also collaborate with Microsoft Security, Microsoft IT (MSIT), Legal, Project Engineering, MS Business Risk Management, and other internal groups to maintain the corporate vision and goals for the Project.     In addition, this position will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing vendor performance relative to cash flow and budget summaries and will clarify those reports in presentations to the delivery and executive chain. Other responsibilities include oversight and project controls {Project Expenditure Request (PERs), Professional Services Request (PSRs), Change Orders, Pay Applications, etc.}. Additional roles include MS partner engagement, as well as participation in communications plans, and community involvement with support from Data Center Operations (DCOPs), Real Estate Services, Data Center Services, and Corporate Communications teams.       In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.  Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experienceOR equivalent experience.10+ years of progressive responsibility in development of leading Data Center, semiconductor, Oil-gas, Bio-Pharmaceutical or other large scale construction projects3+ Years experience as a people manager.Preferred QualificationsExperience managing multiple large multi-faceted projectsAbility to independently manage deadlines and support staffAbility to influence cross-discipline teamsConstruction Health & Safety Knowledge10+ yrs. exp. of data center project construction with large-scale data centers or Data Center lease providers.   Construction Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
