The Quality Manager will oversee quality assurance 2 locations with in Connecticut ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards and leading a team to maintain high precision in aerospace component manufacturing. This role involves managing inspections, implementing quality systems, and providing technical leadership in GD&T, SPC, and CMM.

Description

The key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee quality assurance operations at two locations, ensuring compliance with AS9100 standards.
  • Lead and manage inspection and calibration departments to maintain high precision and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement inspection plans by part and metrology mode, setting CMM standards specific to each plant.
  • Conduct and support quality system audits, monitoring performance metrics and compliance.
  • Provide technical guidance on GD&T and SPC interpretation and implementation across plant functions.
  • Evaluate team performance, identify training needs, and promote continuous improvement to achieve business and customer satisfaction goals.


Profile

A successful Quality Manager wil have:

  • Experience in quality management within aerospace or precision manufacturing, with expertise in AS9100 or ISO9001 systems.
  • Strong technical skills in GD&T, SPC, and CMM operation (PC-DMIS preferred).
  • Proven leadership abilities, with a creative approach to problem-solving and driving team performance.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in meeting high-quality standards.
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least five years in quality inspection and supervisory experience.
