Chief Human Resources Officer

Summary:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Human Resource Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership and overall direction of the credit union's human resource programs, including Learning and Development, Benefit and Compensation Management, Team Member Experience, and Talent Planning and Management. This role also ensures compliance with credit union policies, while providing an exceptional member experience
This position requires a strategic senior leader who possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills, exceptional leadership ability, and proven history in growing a sound organization. A critical member of the executive team, they will be charged with keeping abreast of emerging trends and creating corresponding strategies to ensure the credit union is able to continue living its vision, brand promise and guiding principles. Monitors local, regional, economic, financial, industry and political events which could impact the credit union.
The CHRO brings an innovative approach to staffing and will be an active and engaged member of the senior leadership team responsible for bringing the vision, guiding principles and brand promise to life, implementing organizational strategy, and driving a positive corporate culture and achievement of a balanced scorecard.
The CHRO will bring a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Accessibility (DEIBA) lens to the team and organizational leadership to promote solutions that help serve the needs of the community. They will collaborate closely with both internal and external partners to help formulate strong partnerships to ensure that existing products and services are successful, and the credit union is meeting its strategic objectives.

Expectations and Responsibilities
- Learning and Development 30%
- Build a high performing organizational team through a comprehensive learning and development plan. Utilize analytics to continuously monitor, analyze, and update training to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Talent Plan and Management 25%
- Build and manage a system that recruits, acquires, engages, and retains Maintain and execute an evolving talent plan and staffing model that achieves the vision of Prospera
- Team Member Experience 20%
- Drives behaviors and values of the organization while fostering a culture of diversity and inclusivity. Set up process to help employees deal with ever-changing business needs and ensures they have the tools to manage that change effectively
- Compensation and Benefit Management 15%
- Develop and maintain a competitive benefit and compensation model that inspires and rewards performance
- HR Admin and Management 10%
- Oversee and develop HR staff. Monitor and update all HR compliance and policy responsibilities to ensure Prospera follows all federal, state and local regulations
- 10+ years working in Human Resource leadership positions.
- Bachelor's degree or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus across diverse audiences and stakeholders.
- Proven Ability to break down barriers and pave new paths.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other leaders within the organization to develop and implement organization strategy.
- Strategic thinking and decision-making skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a team member and member focused mind-set.
- Trusted advisor with a successful track record of building and maintaining professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently with a team, and to delegate and manage resources effectively.

- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with driving loan portfolio growth and developing new loan products to meet changing member needs.
- Experience in developing, easing, and monitoring the strategic direction of lending/credit operations.

- Proven success in leading, directing, and developing team and individual team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point).
- A high level of emotional intelligence with the ability to build relationships with team members, senior leadership team, board members, external partners and members.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Flexibility is necessary as team member's job responsibilities may change at any time during employment.
