Background information:
Innovative Defense Technologies (IDT), provider of automated software testing, data analysis, and cybersecurity solutions for complex, mission-critical systems in the US Department of Defense (DOD), is seeking SkillBridge Fellows to be based in our Arlington, VA office starting in January 2025.
Overview:
IDT has partnered with the SkillBridge Program, a DOD program that helps service members gain civilian work experience and transition to civilian careers after their military service. As part of this program, IDT is seeking to bring on SkillBridge Fellows who will support our various operational projects. You will have the opportunity to shadow exciting operational projects and receive mentorship from various members of the IDT team.
You will continue to maintain your full military compensation and benefits from your current military employer, while we provide the training and work experience to prepare you for your next mission. Think of it as being in the military but without the uniform.
All applicants must be able to obtain/maintain an active U.S. Security Clearance.
Essential Functions:
Successful applicants for this fellowship may support any of IDT’s operational departments. Examples include:
- Finance
- Human Resources
- Learning and Development
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Active-Duty Service Member
- Received Unit Commander (first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command) written authorization and approval to participate in DoD SkillBridge Program prior to the start of the internship.
- Is within 6 months of separation or retirement
Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
- Capable of working professionally with various departments and foster teamwork
