Client Development Manager

This is a salary + commission based role.

This is a remote position with the expectation to travel for conferences as required.

The Client Development Manager will generate sales opportunities by networking, seeking, and developing new business relationships, while being the advocate for existing clients. The role will have a focus on selling to clubs, associations, and related verticals. As a self starter, you'll define different sales and communication processes that lead to achieving targets. You'll build effective relationships with external stakeholders to ensure aligned outcomes and project success in becoming their preferred partner in learning services and strategies.

At the core of this role, you will:
  • Focus on growth by generating net new opportunities (hunting) to achieve revenue goals for our learning services.


You will be responsible for:

  • Building a strong understanding of Onlea's services and offerings
  • Acquiring new clients that will benefit from Onlea's services and meet target KPIs
  • Identifying and engaging with potential clients by contacting them through various connection methods.
  • Utilizing your existing network, and seek new networks and generate new sales opportunities
  • Work with Onlea's team to define and utilize different communication approaches to understand customer needs
  • Taking an active role in managing RFP's, SOW's and quotes through the sales cycle
  • Take a proactive role in learning about clients' industry, business needs, and company culture, educating the project team, identifying new business opportunities, and providing a high level of service
  • Represent Onlea in networking events, conferences, meetups, etc.
  • Record and report activities through the sales pipeline


Skills and requirements that you should have:

  • You will have proven experience and success in solutions and/or service selling through previous role(s) (minimum 7 years)
  • You are highly motivated, determined and resourceful
  • You are a self-starter, team player, critical thinker with a can-do attitude
  • You have excellent, proactive communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You have the ability to effectively manage customers, promptly respond to queries, ensure promises are kept and manage expectations
  • You can work independently, set goals and manage those goals
  • You have a strong sense of responsibility; someone who takes ownership of opportunities and sees them through all the way from prospecting to close
  • You have a desire to continuously learn and grow
