The Product Merchandise Manager is responsible for driving redemption by creating a merchandis assortment that appeals to a highly diverse audience. The Manager will understand brands, trends, and categories to build a complete assortment while focusing on competitive value.
Education/Experience Required:
- 5- 7 years of job experience in buying
- Experience coordinating with vendors
- Building and executing online merchandising strategies
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and sales metrics to drive buying decisions
- Detail-oriented and operationally focused
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Use necessary tools to populate an assortment that provides value comparable to retail.
- Utilize the supplier base and core competencies when determining the optimal assortment range for your categories.
- Identify and analyze new trends/styles, relevance, and sales potential.
- Curate categories, brands, and events by selecting product assortments anddetermining the best presentation.
- Utilize data regarding past product and event performance to make informed decisions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while negotiating buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery).
