Position Overview

The Global Merchandise Planning Manager will be responsible for driving comprehensive global buying and planning strategies for Coachtopia with a focus on maximizing sales and profitability, while aligning to the brand vision. The position will partner with Merchandising and other key cross-functional partners (Global Business Units, Product Development, Supply Operations, Allocation) to set and ensure growth targets are achieved and will own all buying aspects for its categories (Leather Goods & Ready to Wear). This position will dually report to the Senior Director of Design & Global Merchandising for Coachtopia and the Senior Director, Global Merchandise Planning for Coach Retail. Key Responsibilities

Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals through the development of merchandising and planning strategies. Provide global investments and financial framework that realizes business objectives across sustainability, growth/profitability, and customer acquisition goals. Manage SKU lifecycle from adoption to delete, react to in-season sales to determine go-forward strategy. Influence category assortments and global plans by analyzing product performance, customer feedback, consumer trend, competitive landscape and local market knowledge to global merchants/design. Partner with Finance to establish seasonal and annual topline and departmental financial targets. Analyze and identify global and regional product trends, through key weekly/monthly/seasonal reporting, that drive incremental growth to core businesses. Compile data and information in an accurate and timely manner and utilize sales analysis when decision making (apply to buys, projections, and in-season actions). Present sales analysis weekly/monthly/seasonally to Coachtopia leadership and cross-functional teams, highlighting key takeaways and future action plans. Manage OTB by anticipating needs to support seasonal newness investment and to meet financial targets at the SKU level for sales, inventory & margin. Continuously analyze and reforecast business and implement strategies to ensure plan is achieved, including adjusting product flow and inventory management. Execute buy process from concept to completion, including partnership in product development, implementation of regional merchandising strategies and financial planning of sales/inventory. Conduct buy reviews with Coach and Coachtopia leadership, highlighting sales and investment strategies. Manage presentation documents and seasonal tools to communicate assortment strategy and updates. Action on shipment re-routing, BU inventory sharing, and global chase opportunities based on sales reads to drive SKU productivity and inventory optimization. Work closely with Inventory Management and Allocation to ensure that inventory turn goals are met and assortments by door are maximized. Foster effective teamwork and communication with key business partners (i.e., Global Business Units, Global Merchandising, Product Development, Supply Operations, Global Inventory Management). Effectively prioritize and coordinate deadlines with cross-functional partners. Partner with Marketing, Product Knowledge, Visual Merchandising, Store Operations and Field Team to create synergies among all consumer touch points. Partner with field team to solicit qualitative feedback on product, customers, store environments & competition. Work in agile methodology with a focus on empowered, self-organizing teams, an iterative approach that allows for rapid experimentation with continuous feedback loops in short time-boxed sprints, and mindful adaptiveness to change. “Think outside the box” breaking from traditional planning practices when needed and demonstrating ability to challenge the status quo to drive a cradle-to-cradle mindset. Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Buying or Planning capacity. BA or BS degree or equivalent work experience will be considered. Excellent product sensibility with knowledge of trends that appeal to target consumer. Strong self-starter with action-oriented drive; excels in fast-paced, start-up type environments with ability to react with a sense of urgency. Capability to adapt to changes and challenges with a positive outlook. Ability to take initiative, ownership, and accountability for business. Sharp business acumen, strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills with comprehensive understanding of retail math. Proven ability to drive both brand and commercial outcomes and deliver on program KPIs and ROI goals. Superior written, verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across all levels of management. Experience in successfully fostering cross-functional relationships and driving collaboration. Excellent Microsoft Excel / technical skills; experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and proficient learner of planning and buying systems. Our Competencies for All Employees
