Job Summary

The Department of Theatre and Youth Theatre at the University is seeking a Theatre Office Manager to support essential office operations. This role involves assisting with a variety of tasks, including responding to phone and email inquiries, managing room requests, and procuring office supplies. Additionally, the Theatre Office Manager will play a key role in recruitment efforts, which may include traveling to recruitment events.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities encompass general office operations :

  • Serving as the primary point of contact in the office.

  • Directing faculty, staff, and students to campus resources.

  • Submitting maintenance requests, and coordinating room scheduling and supply orders.

Recruitment:

  • Oversee recruitment communications for the Department.

  • Schedule and conduct tours.

  • Represent the Department at various recruitment events.

Specific tasks related to Youth Theatre:

  • Maintaining communication with parents.

  • Managing Youth Theatre’s social media accounts, and printing scripts.

Financial responsibilities:

  • Reconciling purchasing cards.

  • Coordinating travel arrangements.

  • Ordering and inventory office supplies.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus two years of related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience). Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
