JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to engineering drawings and specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assembly of Mechanical Components: Assemble mechanical parts and systems, including machinery, sub-assemblies, and other equipment, following detailed blueprints, schematics, and instructions.
- Fabrication and Modification: Fabricate or modify parts using shop equipment, such as drills, grinders, and other hand and power tools, to meet specific project requirements.
- Work Order Management: Follow work orders to populate or modify/replace components, ensuring that assemblies meet all technical specifications and quality standards.
- Testing and Inspection: Conduct tests on assembled products to verify functionality and quality, making adjustments or repairs as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, including any modifications or adjustments made during the assembly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a variety of shop equipment and tools, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and components.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of the assembly process.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues independently.
- Other duties as required and/or assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience using hand held inspection equipment like calipers, micrometers, dial indicators required.
