Job Summary:
Follow production routing and assembly drawings to build Infrared detector onto either small metal (TO) packages or liquid nitrogen (LN2) Dewars.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Job Description
Job Summary:
Follow production routing and assembly drawings to build Infrared detector onto either small metal (TO) packages or liquid nitrogen (LN2) Dewars.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Using Toolmakers microscope, position and epoxy mount detectors onto ceramic substrates within .010"
- Working under Stereo Microscope, epoxy small components using tweezers, picks and other small hand tools.
- Using manual gold wire bonder, wirebond detectors, substrates and packages.
- Hand soldering and RF soldering of small components and wires.
- Take accurate and precise measurements.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:
- Working knowledge of the operation of bonding and assembly
- Understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the following:
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
- Manual gold wire bonding
- Hand soldering/RF soldering
- Assembly
- Epoxy applications
- ESD handling
- Proven experienced assembler
- Possess good manual dexterity
- Detail oriented. Organized and maintain clear and accurate record keeping
- Team oriented with strong sense of urgency
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices
- Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately 0%.
- HS Diploma & 10-15 years of experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Ability to read drawings
- Wire bonding
- Soldering and Assembly
- Epoxy applications
