As a Senior Camera Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge imaging solutions for advanced driver assistance systems.You Will:Lead the evaluation and integration of state-of-the-art image sensor prototypesCollaborate with manufacturing partners on camera hardware design, prototyping, qualification, and productionDevelop comprehensive camera specifications and requirements for design, testing, and manufacturingDefine and implement inter-system communication protocols for vehicle sensorsOversee vehicle-level verification, validation, and tuning of sensor hardwareContribute to sensor calibration and production manufacturing processesWork cross-functionally with Product Design, Industrial Design, Electrical Engineering, and Optical Design teamsConduct thorough camera sub-system validation and testing, including image quality, electrical, and mechanical assessmentsLead troubleshooting and diagnostic efforts using advanced toolsPerform failure analysis and debugging of camera hardware at module and product levelsDesign and implement methodologies to identify, reproduce, and resolve complex design challengesQualifications:5+ years of experience in camera hardware development, prototyping, and testingProven expertise in camera module design principles and image quality fundamentalsStrong background in designing and performing laboratory experiments for camera testingIn-depth knowledge of Electrical/EMC validation testingComprehensive understanding of vehicle communication networks (automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN)Experience with sensor calibration and validation methodsProficiency in optical studies for image sensor and lens combinationsFamiliarity with camera-related SerDes architecture and GMSL2 video interfaceExcellent communication and project management skillsAdvantageous:Experience with ANSYS SPEOS optical simulation toolsKnowledge of automotive regulations and functional safety standards (FMVSS111, ISO 26262)Proficiency in Vector tools and applications (CANape, CANalyzer, CANoe, Vflash)Education Requirements:BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields (minimum requirement)Advanced degree or Ph.D. preferred for senior positionsSalary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
