If you’re the kind of person who sees a problem, develops a solution, and engineers an improvement no one’s asked for yet, then we want to talk with you!As a Power Electronics Mechanical Engineer, you will help develop and commercialize state-of-the-art electric vehicle inverters, DC/DC converters and charging systems. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination.Role: Create designs interactively with the vehicle packaging team and other product engineering inputs, updating designs accordinglyOptimize mechanical designs for size, weight, durability, performance and costDetermine required tolerances using GD&TIntegrate mechanical designs with high voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environmentQualifications: 6-8 years of experience with a Bachelors or equivalent work experienceStrong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA or similar softwareExperience in automotive product validation (environmental testing, shock/drop, etc)Experience with electric propulsion systemsExperience with automotive engineeringExperience with electronic control systemsAdvantageous:A flair for creative design engineering and problem-solvingA practical hands-on knowledge with shop tools and prototypingKnowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etcEducation: BS and/or MS in Mechanical EngineeringSalary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k.
