DescriptionKforce has a client that is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer in Pleasant Grove, UT. This is fully remote role but being in Utah is preferred.About the Role:As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in the Developer Experience team. This team's mission is to empower feature development teams by enhancing their self-sufficiency, increasing delivery speed, and improving software quality. In this role, you will write high-quality code for tools, automation, and proof of concepts (PoCs), while also collaborating with engineers and leaders to solve complex Developer Operations challenges.What You Will Be Doing:* Championing a DevOps culture across cross-functional teams, helping engineers define the infrastructure necessary to deploy applications efficiently* Proactively identifying ways to strengthen the organization's security posture* Researching and evaluating cutting-edge cloud technologies and architectures, and recommending tools that add value to business operations* Assisting in the development and establishment of standards and best practices for cloud technologies* Supporting cloud migration initiatives, including assessing the impact on infrastructure, networks, and security systems* Collaborating with architectural teams on security-related issues* Implementing application telemetry and performance monitoring, setting up alerting systems to ensure smooth operation* Troubleshooting production incidents and participating in post-mortems to drive continuous improvement* Participating in an on-call rotation to address urgent technical issues* Automating processes to improve the tools and resources available to software engineersRequirements* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience* A minimum of 7+ years of experience across cloud, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), with at least 3 years focused on cloud technologies* Experience with containerized environments and orchestration engines, particularly Kubernetes* Strong experience with relational database management systems (RDBMS), especially PostgreSQL and MySQL* Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth environments, especially startups* Deep knowledge of networking and security principles, including associated protocols* Proficiency in automation tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Terraform, SaltStack, Jinja, CircleCI, New Relic, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)* Expertise in Google Cloud and Kubernetes* Familiarity with multi-region application availability and content delivery networks (CDNs)* Continuous Learning and Improvement: We value rapid learning and growth, with a focus on delivering high-quality results* Go Above and Beyond: Strive for excellence in everything you do* Optimism and Positivity: A positive mindset fosters creativity and resilience* Team-Oriented: We believe the team is like family, and collaboration is key* Honesty and Directness: We value transparency and open communicationWhat We Offer:* Paid day off on your birthday* Onsite gym to promote a healthy lifestyle* Fully stocked breakroom with snacks and beverages* Convenient office location with easy access to major freewaysJob TypeDirect HireCompensation150000 - $170000
