Varied role planning and delivering BD activities for the prestigious West Coast offices - including a new office opening!

Well respected international Big-Law firm know for a highly collaborative and supportive ethos, great opportunity to join their growing Business Development function, responsible for the West Coast BD strategy and delivery. Some travel to the different West Coast offices.

Description

Demonstrable skills required as Business Development Manager:

  • Responsible for all BD and Marketing opportunities for the West Coast, California offices
  • Work directly with Partners and senior stakeholders on planning and executing BD activities
  • Develop client and business development plans
  • Work with peers in marketing, communications, content to produce pitch materials, RFP's, ranking submissions etc.
  • Strategic approach to developing and delivering BD strategies - able to operate strategically as well as on hands-on with delivery of pitches and BD materials
  • Project management, coordinating activities and resources across marketing and communications teams
  • Stakeholder management - working directly with the finance and energy practice groups, CMO, Head of Communications, Partners and Attorneys across the firm's network of offices in the US and Europe
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Profile

Demonstrable skills required as Business Development Manager:

  • 6+ years BD experience
  • Preference for Big-Law or mid-size law firm background
  • Previous BD work for private equity, technology or corporate practice groups highly desirable
  • Highly skilled in planning, developing and executive business development activities and pitch materials, RFP's, submissions etc.

Job Offer

The successful Business Development Manager will receive:

  • Competitive base salary: $160,000-$175,000
