JOB SUMMARYJob Profile SummaryPerforms duties related to gas processing plant and gathering, instrument and electrical design, operations, construction estimates, and/or design coordination of construction projects and programmable logic controller (PLC) programming.Essential Functions and ResponsibilitiesDirect, perform, and/or approve engineering activities relative to design of company processing plant and gathering pipelines including but not limited to:Gas processing plants, gathering systems and appurtenancesMeasurement and regulation facilitiesCompressor stationsDehydration plantsConstruction plans and implementationMaterial/equipment specifications and selectionAnalyze and evaluate various plant systems and make recommendations for improvements related to capacity, operating costs, and system operationPerform calculations related to project, investment, and operational cost estimates; determining electrical requirements and enhancements; and conducting studies relative to process controlCoordinate projects among departments, producers, and contractors including but not limited to:Bid proposals and contractsOperational problemsMaterial specifications and selectionConstruction and/or relocation projectsCommunications systemsProvide technical and/or engineering assistance to management, employees, governmental/regulatory personnel, contractors, producers, manufacturers, and others on matters including but not limited to:Meter and regulator settingsEquipment/system designMotor/electrical designsPlant PID controls and small liquid pipeline supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA)Policies and proceduresResearch, analyze, prepare, and/or approve information including but not limited to:Engineering studiesGovernmental rules, regulations, codes, and standardsPipeline system analyses and recommendationsBid proposalsConstruction contractsCost estimatesMaterial specifications/selectionsEducationBachelor's Degree in Engineering with major in electrical/electronics preferred PLUS job-related experience as follows:Work ExperienceExperience with and thorough knowledge of processing plants and related facilities design, construction, operation, and maintenance projectsExperience with electrical failure and control system analysis and thorough knowledge of industry standards and governmental regulationsExperience in use and function of PLC and control system applications such as AB, GE, Fanue, Fisher ROC, Westinghouse, WonderWare, Fisher Delta V, etc.Experience and training related to:Gas processing/gathering pipeline operationsCompany/governmental operating and safety proceduresInterpersonal/communication skillsElectrical instrument failure investigationsProgramming PLC’s and other instrumentsExperience identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems or specific situations and determining appropriate action/responseExperience examining, testing, and evaluating new products, materials, and techniquesExperience researching and preparing project material and design specifications, contracts, agreements, budgets, engineering studies, and various reports, forms, and correspondenceExperience developing information and making presentations to groups and individualsKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to: apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methodsAbility to: read and understand governmental regulations, references, journals, construction plans, blueprints, contracts, manuals, reports, specifications, and correspondence and use that knowledge to develop and complete projectsAbility to: interact, negotiate, advise, and communicate effectivelyAbility to: supervise, direct, and/or delegate work assignments; knowledge of personnel policies and proceduresAbility to: communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentationsAbility to: operate tools and equipment requiredLicenses and CertificationsNone requiredStrength Factor Rating - Physical Demands/RequirementsSedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (Occasionally: activity or condition exists up to 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (Frequently: activity or condition exists from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
