The Corporate Controller will play a critical part in ensuring the financial health of the organization by overseeing accounting, financial reporting, and consolidations across our international operations.
Job Summary:
The Corporate Controller will be responsible for managing all accounting functions, including international consolidations and inventory accounting. This role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, maintain accurate financial records, and provide strategic insights to the executive team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a private equity-backed environment and demonstrate strong leadership in managing financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Lead international consolidations of financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and global reporting standards.
- Manage inventory accounting processes, ensuring accurate valuation and reporting of inventory across locations.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely and accurate completion of audit processes.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business growth and financial planning.
- Develop and manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by senior management and private equity stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage corporate tax filings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in international consolidations and inventory accounting.
- Experience in a private equity-backed company or a fast-growing entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting standards.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
