Leidos is seeking a Windows / Linux System Administrator with an active TS/SCI clearance to join our team in Suitland, MD. In this role, you will provide specialized Cyber Security and Information Technology (IT) support for IT resources and users, underpinning Scientific and Technical Intelligence (S&TI) analysis and production across the Farragut Technical Analysis Center at the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI).

As key member of the Systems Administration team, you will manage and support Specialized Mission IT Systems to include high-end workstations within a range of Windows and Linux Information Technology (IT) assets. Additional equipment may include different exploitation systems and laboratory equipment such as microscopes, X-rays, network analyzers, schematic generation, electronics analysis, electrical modeling/simulation, 3D laser scanning, CAD modeling, graphics and video software, visual displays, and report production.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, administer, support and maintain Windows and Linux Mission Systems and associated hardware.
  • Configure, build, troubleshoot, and maintain VMWare virtual machines in a Dell Blade cluster environment.
  • Management of systems infrastructures, identifying and implementing best practices and recommending system functional specifications, configuration of physical and virtual systems, backup and recovery of IT infrastructure and implementing critical patches, reviewing systems performance logs to identify anomalies and troubleshoot issues.
  • Configure, administer, support and maintain high availability and various storage systems and technologies to include NETAPP Enterprise storage devices, NAS, FC switches, NFS/CIFS, ISCSI, etc.
  • Configure multiple versions of Cisco Switches and Routers for various networks to include - racking, setup internal VLAN truncation based on OS and hardware type, setup external connections to secure WAN.
  • Coordinate across IT domains and multiple teams (internal and external) and influence customer leadership regarding solution design, process and/or approaches to ensuring all Windows/Linux systems are up to date, working efficiently and ensure all mission requirements are met.
  • Utilize System monitoring tools, such as ACAS Security Center, to scan servers, desktops and other systems for vulnerabilities.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required within the local DMV area.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related work experience; or a Master's degree with 6+ years of related work experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active IAT Level II DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification (e.g., Security+ CE) or higher, or the ability to obtain within 30 days from offer of acceptance.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in the configuration and sustainment of Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux Systems.
  • Practical Experience configuring and validating security control compliance by utilizing STIGs and ACAS on Windows, Linux and other systems and devices.
  • Proficiency in Storage Area Networks and other storage technologies.
  • In depth knowledge of CISCO routers and switch configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Strong hands-on aptitude in performing administration functions such as installations and configurations, migrations, etc. to include excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Cybersecurity or Information Technology Master's Degree.
  • Experience with rack-mounted server hardware, physical networking, and peripherals and large data center operations.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).

Pay Range: Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
