    • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create designs that align with our business goals and resonate with our users.
    • Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and pain points, and translate these insights into powerful design solutions.
    • Develop and maintain design systems that enable our teams to move quickly and consistently as we scale.
    • Guide internal team and external vendors and contractors to set standards based on experience and best-in-class design.

What We're Looking For

    • 5+ years of experience in product design, preferably within an early, B2B rapidly growing Saas company as a founding/lead designer.
    • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools.
    • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design, including experience with complex, data-intensive applications.
    • Experience working with engineering teams to implement designs, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of product development.
    • Ability to lead design projects from conception to execution, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Why Valence
    • Ownership of design projects and strategic input from day one in our dynamic, learning-focused environment.
    • Direct access to the executive team and a transparent culture that values your input on strategic decisions.
    • Competitive salary and equity packages.
