Gastroenterology Physician

Coverage Needed * ASAP - ongoing Schedule * Scheduled Clinic Hours Clinical Details * Outpatient * Patients per shift: 14-16 * Trauma level 3 * Peds level 3 * GI clinic coverage * Will see more complicated liver and GI cases in addition to new referrals * All standard clinic responsibilities would be expected including pathology review, referrals and answering questions PA might have - though direct supervision is not a requirement * In-clinic procedures: Pill Cam (GI locum required to interpret studies), peg tube exchange, Hemoccult test, and Lidocaine injections Requirements * Board Certified * Active WA License or IMLC * Fellowship * ACLS, BLS * Required Skills: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder, injection of varices), Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible, Rigid), Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp) * Preferred Skills: ERCP (Diagnostic, Therapeutic, With PEG), Esophageal dilatation/manometry, Insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube Support Staff * 5 MAs, 1 APP, 7 Office Staff * Currently staffed with one full-time provider, a PA-C, and occasional shifts by employed GI EMR * Epic
