Account Manager

This Account Manager, ideally located in the South Boston or Rhode Island area, will cover parts of Boston, South of Boston to Cape Cod and all of Rhode Island. The person in this role will develop and execute a territory business plan; sell and promote the Bio-Rad clinical diagnostic product line to meet territory sales goals for assigned accounts.
As an Account Manager, you will identify and develop new client opportunities, be responsible for prioritizing project planning, meeting competing customer requests and deadlines, and organizing territory management. You will develop and demonstrate competitive services, pricing, and other activities. You will deliver oral and written communications in a coherent manner, working in conjunction with the rest of the sales team to develop and implement sales and marketing plans. You will recognize and demonstrate Bio-Rad's complete commitment to customer satisfaction by providing prompt resolutions to customer problems or concerns and uphold the Bio-Rad quality policy. You will take ownership of personal development and continuous learning, attending required sales training, seminars, and tradeshows.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Pre-call planning and scheduling, answering emails, replying to customer requests (product inquires, product quotes, order assistance, etc.), assisting with internal Bio-Rad requests (from local sales team, customer service or technical service).
- Reviewing/updating SalesForce.com sales funnel.
- Travel to customer labs to manage and implement sales plan and provide customer support as needed.
- A "typical day" will vary depending on priorities and needs.
- The candidate must be flexible and able to course correct and adjust priorities as needed.
What you Bring:
- Education: BA/BS degree in a medical technology, life science or technical related discipline or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the clinical diagnostics sales and/or certified laboratory experience.
- There are no "conflicts of interest" to sell the full Bio-Rad clinical diagnostics portfolio.
- Relevant/successful, IVD work experience in the laboratory and / or selling directly into the clinical laboratory.
- Motivated/self-starter that can successfully build key customer business relationships.
- Able to shift priorities and course correct as needed to meet critical customer needs.
- Organization and strategic planning skills are important.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $82,000 to $112,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
