The Kennedy Collective is seeking enthusiastic and compassionate Behavior Technicians to join our team in providing center-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to deliver individualized treatment plans designed to enhance the social, communication, and adaptive skills of individuals with autism and related developmental disabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 Applied Behavior Analysis therapy with individuals.
• Follow the prescribed Treatment and Behavior Support Plan.
• Ensure that all Kennedy Collective, State, and Insurance regulations, and policies are adhered to.
• Implement individualized ABA treatment plans in a center-based setting as directed by the BCBA.
• Collect and record accurate data on client behavior and progress during sessions.
• Apply positive reinforcement and other behavior modification techniques to encourage desirable behaviors.
• Assist in developing new programs and strategies to address challenging behaviors.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and supportive environment for clients during sessions.
• Provide regular updates and feedback to the supervising BCBA regarding client progress.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision as required.
• Adhere to all ethical guidelines and professional standards set forth by The Kennedy Collective.
• Record therapy notes for each session using Therap.
• Ensure all training courses are current.
• Provide professional and timely communication with co-workers, supervisor, family members and guardians
and other team members.
• Ensure the protection of the individual's rights and safety by following HIPAA regulations, ensuring privacy, and
reporting any type of abuse or neglect.
• Intervene in emergencies and behavioral situations as needed.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or related field, plus one year of full-time equivalent experience working with children with ASD; or an associates degree from an accredited university in a behavioral health field, behavior analysis or related field plus two years of experience working with children with ASD.
• 18 hours of continuing education in ASD services in the last three years.
• Valid driver's license.
• Compassion and patience for those you work with.
• Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team using good judgment and a sense of initiative.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Knowledge and skill with Microsoft Office and the Internet.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Have the physical endurance to use PMT holds.
• Have the physical endurance to be able to lift and transfer individuals as assigned.
• Ability to provide personal care which may include toileting, bathing, feeding, lifting, and transferring an individual.
