The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase, providing accurate estimates and proposals for various commercial projects. You will work closely with the Chief Estimator, Commercial Pre-Construction Department, Operations Team, and Estimating Support Team to ensure that all aspects of the project are considered and that bids are competitive and profitable.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projectsReview and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of workCollaborate with project teams to gather necessary information for bid preparationDevelop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricingCreate comprehensive proposals and bid documents that clearly outline project costs and timelinesUtilize estimating software and tools, including ESTMEP and Bluebeam, to streamline the estimating processParticipate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required to enhance understanding of project requirementsAssist in the evaluation of contractor bids and make recommendations to managementQualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in estimating for commercial construction projectsProficient in estimating software, specifically ESTMEP and BluebeamStrong understanding of plumbing, piping, and sheet metal systemsExcellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detailAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholdersProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office softwareStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyBenefitsCompetitive Salary: $145k - $155kCareer Advancement & Training OpportunitiesPaid Time Off (PTO)Paid Holidays401KMedical InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceFor this position you must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
