DescriptionWe are offering an exciting opportunity in the healthcare industry situated in Stamford, Connecticut. The role involves joining our team as a Senior Network Engineer, a key position in maintaining and developing our network systems. This role is pivotal in the healthcare industry, ensuring the smooth operation of our network infrastructure for seamless service delivery to our clients.Responsibilities:• Lead in the design, implementation, and support of local and wide area network infrastructure, focusing on converged voice/data systems.• Stay updated with Cisco Best Practices and apply this knowledge in the configuration and troubleshooting of Core Routing and Switching.• Handle all aspects of multi-site network designs including LAN, MAN, and WAN, ensuring reliable connectivity and network performance.• Manage static and dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.• Monitor and maintain network security, including the design, configuration, and tuning of Cisco Security appliances.• Administer enterprise Cisco Call Manager (CCM), Unity Connection, and SIP protocol and trunking.• Work with Network Security technologies including VMware NSX and NAC, and manage firewall settings.• Oversee the deployment of managed Wireless Access Point, leveraging expert knowledge in wireless systems.• Lead team projects and mentor others, demonstrating strong project management skills.• Interface with multiple groups, departments, and vendors, and provide administrative reports as required.• Research and implement strategies for maintaining system capacity and performance while reducing cost.• Handle multiple projects independently and carry them to conclusion.Requirements• Demonstrable experience of 10+ years as a Network Engineer in the Healthcare/NHS industry.• Proficient in Network Routing and Network Switches.• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certifications are mandatory.• Experience with Cisco Access Points, Cisco Collaboration, Cisco Networking, and Cisco Unified Computing System.• Knowledge of Wi-Fi and VLAN are essential.• Proven ability in Network Architecture design and implementation.• Familiarity with Visio Technical for creating technical diagrams and schematics.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.• Ability to work in a team and lead projects.• Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology trends in networking and healthcare technology. • A proactive approach to work, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.Job typePermIndustryHealthcare/NHS
