JOB Summary An intermediate level position, an Assembly Mechanic 2 is required to perform diversified tasks relating to product assembly, to include motor alignment, setting hydraulic fluid systems, and applying basic troubleshooting techniques. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Comply with and participate in company quality and safety programs and initiatives Assist higher level mechanics in the assembly process in activities such as parts fitting, press fitting, bolting, connecting, threading, aligning, calibrating, grinding and flame heating are all daily process Preparation work includes layout of the job, identify and assemble necessary parts and tools, measure and consult technical charts Keep work areas clean and ensure tooling is maintained in good safe working order Inspect all equipment used and perform preventive maintenance checks and services Schedules work orders for continuing daily progress Measure and record technical data as tasks are complete Overtime maybe required to meet customer delivery schedules Other duties may be assigned MInimum qualifications / SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of Mechanical work experience LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. preferred qualifications Mechanical experience; 2 years MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand detailed drawings, bills of material, schematics, and work instructions. COMPUTER SKILLS General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous.
