The Role: Sr. Account Director

We are looking for a Senior Account Director from a Customer Engagement agency background with the experience to support us as we grow our Customer offering in the United States and beyond.

This is a key role for us, with scope and headroom for rapid development for the right candidate

The role will work alongside our Customer Strategy Director to establish key senior client relationships across multiple business functions of a household entertainment brand and help develop strategies that make an impact to their bottom line . You will relish the opportunity to build out the team, establish working practices, help on-board marketing technology, and deliver best-in-class customer programmes across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Able to lead a tight core team that delivers great customer strategy and creative work
  • Confident and experienced communicator across all levels of Customer & CRM client levels
  • Experience in developing and leading efficient processes that are consistently implemented to deliver high quality customer programmes and creative work
  • Able to identify opportunities to share work from the global customer practice and drive growth of the account and US customer ambition
  • Able to identify skills and resource needs within the team and comfortable working with Senior T&Pm leadership to address those needs
  • Has an understanding of how data and technology can combine to deliver more personalized experiences
  • Experience working with marketing platforms like Salesforce marketing cloud and ideally with briefing tools like Taxi
  • Lead the day-to-day relationship with the client and gives clear, decisive and thoughtful direction on individual projects.
  • Works with an integrated content studio team and identifies opportunities to use content to drive new customer initiatives
  • Manages the team on development of short term project briefs and is highly involved in the longer-term customer strategy initiatives
  • Think beyond the day-to-day to next 6 months and plans for longer term opportunities.
  • Be proactive in understanding other areas of the clients business to identify opportunities and dependences on workstreams
  • Able to take appropriate corrective measures if necessary
  • Able to sell the benefits of a data-driven approach
  • Ensure resource is used efficiently at the right time and helps internal departments plan for what's ahead effectively.
  • Solve most problems themselves but also highly effective at managing upwards.
  • Leads the agency relationship with other agency partners and meets with them regularly.
  • Work the integrated client lead to plan financial objectives and growth targets. Identifies out of scope opportunities and negotiates project fees with clients where appropriate. Responsible for ensuring that agreed scope and fee align and will work with client lead to adjust
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years working in a customer role agency side
  • Extensive CRM experience - at a strategic and operational level , including development of lifecycle programmes and personalisation
  • Whilst entertainment sector experience and subscriptions is not essential, you should have an interest in the category and an understanding of the challenges taking place in the sector
  • Experience of delivering campaigns using a marketing technology / email marketing tool (Salesforce, Adobe, etc)
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Organized and methodical with excellent time management skills to manage tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator - both written and verbal (including presentations)

The pay range for this role is $140,000-$155,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor. Salary is subject to change based on factors such as geographic location and cost of living in location of hire.
