POSITION SUMMARYProvides advanced paralegal and basic administrative support for corporate governance, general corporate and transactional matters, and litigation.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Provides legal support services across a broad range of legal topics pertinent to a large, publicly traded bank. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Provides legal support services across a broad range of legal topics pertinent to a large, publicly traded bank. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Reviews trust agreements, powers of attorney, court filings, estate matters, guardianships, and non-compete/non-solicitation agreements.
- Assists with trademark matters.
- Develops and delivers training to business units on legal topics and processes.
- Prepares employees for impending testimony in court proceedings.
- Assists in preparing and maintaining litigation holds and related reports.
- Assists in maintaining and updating corporate policy manual.
- Performs legal research and analysis and prepares summaries of various contract and operational documents.
- Provides direction and mentoring to Paralegal I and II employees (if applicable).
- Responds to daily queries from internal departments regarding various legal and related operational issues.
- Organizes, retrieves, and maintains catalogs and indexes of legal documents.
- Prepares responses to discovery/document production requests, subpoenas, garnishments, and levies by coordinating with other business units, outside counsel, and regulators to identify, collect and review documents responsive to litigation, arbitration and/or regulatory investigations.
- Completes required legal and compliance training.
- Understands laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- Minimum of ten (10) years of paralegal experience required.
- Strong PC skills; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Ability and desire to master various legal and business software applications as needed.
- Advanced legal and internet research skills.
- Ability to present to groups and instruct regarding legal and related operational topics.
- Professional demeanor and the ability to exercise diplomacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Self-starter, good organization.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to meet specific deadlines.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- High degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently.
