Vice President of Finance

JOB OBJECTIVE
Sportsdigita is a rapidly scaling and dynamic SaaS company with ambitious growth goals. DIGIDECK, our innovative cloud-based presentation and content-sharing platform, has transformed sales enablement for Sports & Entertainment and B2B enterprises. We’re seeking an experienced VP of Finance to lead financial operations and contract management while shaping a financial strategy that positions us for sustained growth, both organically and through strategic acquisitions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience in finance with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- 5+ years of experience in SaaS
- Proven experience in customer contract review, redlining, and negotiation
- Expertise in SaaS financial metrics, revenue recognition principles, and compliance standards.
- Demonstrated experience with M&A, including both acquiring companies and integrating acquisitions
- Hands-on experience assembling and negotiating a sale or exit transaction for a SaaS company
- Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of budgeting, audits, financial modeling, and accounting software
- Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication skills, the ability to influence cross-functional teams and influencing company direction
- Demonstrated experience scaling a business
- Compelling presence in front of customers, partners, employees and investors
- Experience with CRM, finance and accounting tools, including Quickbooks Online, Maxio (formerly SaaSOptics), AvaTax and Salesforce
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute financial strategies that align with our company goals, driving profitability and revenue growth
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, with a deep focus on SaaS metrics, including LTV, CAC, GRR, NRR, Rule of 40, etc.
- Customer Contract Review & Negotiation
- Lead customer contract negotiations, including the review and redlining of contract, optimizing revenue recognition and cash while minimizing risk
- Ability to balance company velocity with risk mitigation
- Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Responsible for all financial reporting and ensure compliance with industry standards, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of financial and tax reports, and oversee internal and external audits
- Oversee accounting operations, including billing, A/P, A/R, GL, cost accounting, and revenue recognition, including month end and year end close processes
- Maintain rigorous controls and reporting standards to ensure transparency and accuracy in financial statements and forecasts
- Monitor actual financial performance against the budget, analyzing variances and recommending corrective actions
- Mergers & Acquisitions
- Lead acquisition initiatives, from due diligence through to integration, for both acquiring and being acquired
- Conduct thorough financial and operational assessments of potential acquisition targets.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of acquired companies
- Transaction Preparation
- Assemble and prepare the necessary documents and financial models for potential sale processes
- Work closely with external advisors and legal teams to develop and present a compelling selling package to prospective buyers
- Serve as the finance lead in any transaction negotiations, ensuring favorable outcomes for shareholders and stakeholders
- Leadership
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
- Collaborate with executives and leadership across the organization to execute on company initiatives; gather and share key client insights with the delivery organization to influence feature development
