How You'll Make an Impact
  • You support design/analysis/testing of turbomachinery systems
  • You support communities with technical recommendations, idea generation and consultant for the organization
  • You collaborate across subject areas to develop innovative solutions
  • You support manager and SPM process with technical guidance and idea development
  • You participate in external conferences in alignment with management
  • You have global technical responsibility for your field e. g. participation in gate decisions, project evaluations, or audits
  • You review & consult Component / Technology Owners in maintaining Procedures and Philosophies
  • You are a mentor / coach in high profile R&D projects
What You Bring
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Engineering or equivalent required
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in supersonic fluid dynamics, high-temperature supersonic heat transfer and analysis, including compressor aerodynamic design, aerodynamic component design, rotor and stator design, and high temperature flows
  • Extensive technological knowledge in the field of analytical, computational (CFD), and experimental aerodynamics acknowledged by colleagues and other external experts in the field
  • Expertise in using commercial CFD software to simulate turbomachinery flows
  • You think in technical solutions and can generate innovative ideas for challenging, broadly defined problems
  • You have a passion to drive technologies and employees
  • You have willingness and excellent skills to collaborate across subject areas to develop innovative solutions
  • You are the go-to person as technical advisor

  • This job is based in/around Redmond, Washington.Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position in/around Redmond, Washington is $101,900- $189,200 and the annual incentive target is 10% of base salary. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
