Job Description
The Sr Architect for Data and Analytics will play a critical role in shaping the future of data-driven decision making across our global manufacturing chemical company. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing a robust and scalable data and analytics architecture that supports advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, data integration, and cloud-based data platforms. They will also possess strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, data scientists, and IT teams.
Summary:
Provide technical expertise on designing and implementing a robust and scalable data and analytics architecture.
Lead the implementation of data and analytics solutions, including data integration, data modeling, and report development.
Stay abreast of emerging data and analytics technologies and identify opportunities for innovation within the company.
Additional responsibilities
Architecture Design: Define and implement the overall data and analytics architecture, ensuring alignment with business requirements and technology trends.
Data Management: Establish data governance policies, data quality standards, and data security protocols.
Technology Selection: Evaluate and recommend appropriate data and analytics technologies, including cloud platforms, data warehousing solutions, and data visualization tools.
Solution Implementation: Lead the implementation of data and analytics solutions, including data integration, data modeling, and report development.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of data and analytics systems to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging data and analytics technologies and identify opportunities for innovation within the company.
Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data and analytics needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to offshore development team.

Required Skills
- Deep understanding of
- Data warehousing,
- Data lakes,
- Data integration, ETL, and
- Cloud-based data platforms (e.g., GCP, SAP BTP, Azure).
- Very strong proficiency in SQL for data analytics .
- Experience with data visualization tools like SAP SAC, Power BI, Tableau
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI concepts is a plus.
- Experience in SAP Analytics tools is a Plus for ex HANA Data modelling, SAP SAC/Data Sphere, SAP BODS and Strong knowledge of SQL query language.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to coordinate remote teams and work effectively with an offshore, outsourcing provider.
Required Experience
- 10 Years of IT experience which includes 7+ years of experience in data and analytics architecture , with a proven track record of successful project delivery
- Experience in End-to-End Implementation, support, upgrade & Data Analytics projects
- Experience in implementing financial planning tools like SAP SAC, BPC .
- Experience in implementing best practices for Data Governance and Data visualization.
- Experience in driving adoption and Change Management
- SDLC project management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Knowledge of other modules of SAP
- Analytics Certifications from GCP/SAP/Azure preferred.
