Job Description

CFM is looking for a motivated and skilled Project Manager to join our team in Saint John, NB. As a key part of our business, you'll lead diverse teams, foster customer relations, and ensure the successful delivery of critical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Project Teams: Act as the main point of contact between the company and customers for all project-related matters, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
  • Project Oversight: Manage the overall planning, scheduling, and budgeting of assigned projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Bid and Tender Management: Collaborate with the Business Leadership team to prepare and review bid and tender packages that comply with company policies.
  • Team Leadership: Coordinate and support the project team, including Leadership, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Trades to ensure project success.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote and encourage a safe workplace, ensuring all activities comply with legislative, contractual, and company policy requirements.
  • Contract and Subcontractor Management: Oversee sub-contractors, tools, and equipment as per project needs, while ensuring compliance with local labor and safety standards.


Qualifications

Education: Post-secondary university or college technical degree or equivalent work experience is required. P.Eng, CET, or PMP certification is considered a strong asset.

Experience: 2-5 years of project management experience with 1-3 years of people leadership experience.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and contract management.
  • Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Project, Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and experience working with customers and frontline teams.

Work Flexibility: Willingness to work additional hours when required to meet project schedules.
