***Mentorship for New and Recent Graduates***
For almost 75 years, Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital has weathered many storms. Our 18,000 square foot modern, well equipped veterinary hospital, located between Baltimore MD and Washington DC, has been a pillar of the community for decades. We currently have 8 ER doctors and 10 general practitioners to staff our 24/7/365d hospital. We pride ourselves in our state-of-the-art veterinary care with old-fashioned values.
Our new Emergency Veterinarian can expect to work alongside another ER Veterinarian as well as several GP Veterinarians each day. Our ER is fully staffed, so each ER Veterinarian has access to at least 3 technicians daily. Schedules are flexible with typically three 12-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
What makes us different:
SET SCHEDULES - Always. How can you have any quality of work/life balance without knowing when you are going to work? We will never change your schedule without your permission. Our schedules are published 3 - 6 months in advance.
MENTORSHIP - Our medical director meets individually with our new doctors and recent grads regularly and there is always someone available to discuss cases with.
GROW AND LEARN - How often are you able to follow up on cases that you send to the ER? At Rocky Gorge, because our ER is integrated with our general practice, you can always review cases. We firmly believe this helps our doctors continue to grow and learn. You can even log in from home to review cases. We also offer a competitive yearly CE allowance and additional PTO for CE attendance.
BONUSES - Sign on and retention bonuses available, along with competitive salaries.
We are happy to offer:
Competitive salary and benefits including health, dental, liability insurance, CE allowance and a matching 401K. If you are looking for a veterinary practice that treats its employees fairly and practices the highest quality medicine - apply today!
