Responsibilities
- Leverage Power BI and custom reporting to develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company objectives and revenue targets.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities.
- Generate leads through various channels including networking, tradeshows, social media, cold calling, and leveraging existing relationships.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while also expanding the client base through effective sales techniques.
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with other organizations to drive mutual business growth and create new revenue streams.
- Lead the development of proposals, pitches, and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
- Negotiate favorable terms and agreements with clients, partners, and vendors to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to the business development team to foster professional growth and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, talent acquisition and operations to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal Account Representatives and regularly track and report on business development metrics to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or related field, with a proven record of accomplishment of selling to C-Suite level decision makers.
- Deep understanding of the industry landscape, market dynamics, and trends.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business plans.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience leading and motivating a team towards common goals.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals with clients, partners, and vendors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong focus on results and performance, with a relentless drive to achieve targets and deliver business outcomes.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and establish lasting relationships with clients and partners.
