Position Overview:
As an HR Business Partner at Metro Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in aligning human resource strategies with business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor and consultant to our team, focusing on supporting various HR functions and new site startup projects. This position requires a strategic mindset, with the ability to drive HR initiatives that support the company's overall mission and goals. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of HR operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the management of HR processes and services across multiple business units, including employee data management, compliance, workers' compensation administration, onboarding, and general HR inquiries.
Partner with leadership and operation teams to lead HR initiatives during new site startups. Responsibilities included support of RFP's, workforce planning, talent acquisition support, onboarding, compliance setup and seamless launch of HR operations at new sites.
Serve as the backup for the Benefits and LOA Specialist, ensuring that benefit programs and LOA are administered accurately and timely in their absence. Support annual open enrollment. Handle employee benefit inquiries and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.
Support employee relations issues, ensuring fair resolution in line with company policies. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Manage complex employee relations issues, advising both managers and employees.
Leverage HR data to provide reports and insights on key metrics related to employee engagement, turnover, and workforce planning, with a focus on ensuring operational excellence. Utilize HR metrics and analytics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations to leadership regarding talent management, retention, and workforce productivity.
Support employee training and development programs, including new site launches, to ensure teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. Gain certification as a company Our Way culture trainer and serve as an ambassador of the Our Way culture.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations. Proactively communicate and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk.
Lead and support change management initiatives, including organizational restructures, employee transitions, and company-wide HR initiatives to ensure smooth implementation and adoption.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in organizational development, employee relations, and talent management.
- Ability to influence and partner with leadership to drive HR strategy and initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong background in Microsoft suite including advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow and UKG/Kronos preferred by not required. Ability to quicky embrace new systems and technology.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
