WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Engineer in Charge will provide broadcast engineering level expertise to the executive production group, with a focus on Onsite Production Infrastructure. Provide a bridge between Operations and Design teams to successfully deploy the best equipment solutions and configurations for High Impact events. Solve complex one-time broadcast problems, then scale those solutions to teams globally.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Engineer in Charge will provide broadcast engineering level expertise to the executive production group, with a focus on Onsite Production Infrastructure. Provide a bridge between Operations and Design teams to successfully deploy the best equipment solutions and configurations for High Impact events. Solve complex one-time broadcast problems, then scale those solutions to teams globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- High-level Broadcast Engineering support for Event spaces and Studios dedicated to executives for a well known Fortune 50 company. Role entails broadcast equipment lifecycle and design considerations, as well as Live Event Support.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of A/V Broadcast and Studio to operate equipment for Live events including video routing, IP audio, fiber optic signal transmission and video encoding.
- Interface with various cross functional teams to meet tight deadlines. (Design, Deployment, Operations and Commissioning, Onsite and Offsite Production, Executive, etc.)
- Work with deployment engineers on CAD and Design drawings, and BOM review of both new build and retrofit projects. Able to draft simple design considerations for improvement of the current venue space and specialty spaces
- Work as a bridge between Executive Support, Technical Producer and Onsite Production.
- Liaison with Vendors to assure completion of projects to specification as well as real world workflows.
- Demonstrates a consideration for Network security as it relates to onsite infrastructure and virtual cloud-based production environments when deploying new solutions.
- Understand project designs and provide status updates, as well as identify gaps in the project delivery program based on day to day operational use cases and take appropriate action to mitigate.
- Create analysis or comparison reports based on research results, demos, proof of concept and test findings.
- Ability to resolve recurring issues through root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of product lifecycles and ability to suggest replacement models for consideration.
- Provide successful solutions or workarounds to fleet wide escalations in real time.
- Ability to evaluate new products and provide design documentation for implementation and testing.
- Work with the Technical Director to operationally execute events, creating new workflows with existing equipment where required.
- Able to write SOP's for new equipment and workflows as they are developed.
- Accommodate the changing needs of executive production, helping to adapt various venues and spaces to suit the needs of live event broadcasts.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
Technical Skill Requirements:
- BA/BS degree preferred in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ with AV technologies such as audio, video, video conferencing, production lighting, live streaming, routing and control systems, etc.
- Knowledge of Windows and Mac at a user level, as well as Microsoft Office applications.
- Conceptual understanding about audio and video signal flow is a plus.
- Logistics experience is a plus.
- Understanding of AV drawings and signal flow..
