Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital, an AAHA accredited practice, is seeking an Associate Veterinarian eager to learn and grow in our practice!
While our staff may be large, many have worked at AVVH for many years. We are extremely proud of our staff retention and attribute it to our family like working environment, competent management, and highly skilled leadership from our Doctors. This is a great opportunity for a veterinarian looking to collaborate with 2 experienced DVM's as Dr. Gonda and Dr. Villano have almost 45 years of experience between them. Dr. Palomares is our newest associate and has been working in the Veterinary field for nearly a decade.
Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital is an AAHA accredited hospital and is located in the heart of Moorpark in the beautiful Ventura County. Founded in 2004 by Dr. John Gonda. We have grown from a very small practice to a multimillion-dollar veterinary office with over 20 staff members. We specialize in small animal medicine and surgery, seeing primarily dogs and cats.
With over 2,000 square feet of working space, including a complete surgical suite, in-house laboratory, digital radiography including dental x-rays and ultrasound, you will have all the room and equipment needed to provide the best care possible. We also have an attached grooming salon you can take advantage of for your own pets!

YOUR ROLE:
The role of Veterinarian is the most essential role in the Hospital. You are responsible for creating treatment plans for each of your patients and seeing them through. Treatments, procedures, prescriptions, recommendations, and anything else pertaining to patient care is at your discretion. You are also responsible for helping to build and maintain a strong, well-functioning team by providing clear direction and education when needed. The staff will look to you for guidance and reassurance that we are always doing what is best for the animals as well as the practice. You are also to work with the Hospital Manager and co-owners, Dr. John Gonda & Dr. Mike Villano, on setting protocols and best practices for the Hospital.
Qualifications:
Candidate must be a graduate from an AVMA accredited college or have successfully passed the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program
