Technology Intern - Summer 2025

Summary:
ATI is currently seeking an engineering intern in its Specialty Rolled Products R&D division. The internship will primarily be focused on thermomechanical testing using ATI's Gleeble machine.
Essential Functions
- Use the Gleeble machine to test different alloys at different temperature ranges (training will be provided)
- Analyze test data
- Write reports containing processing recommendations
- Interface with project engineers who request testing services
- Perform research on prior test data related to projects
- If necessary, the intern will also perform other related analysis, including SEM imaging and submitting samples for outside testing.

Basic Qualifications
- Engineer Major - Metallurgical, Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical
- Good writing skills, basic understanding of statistics
- Able to work with complex machinery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in metals industry or material testing (Gleeble, dilatometry, SEM imaging)
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Origin
