About the Role:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for planning and executing internal initiatives, and providing advisory support while managing HR projects across a variety of HR-related areas. These areas include compensation, benefits, employee relations, disability management and training & development.
The HR Manager thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, is highly agile, and can take both a strategic and tactical approach to HR.

Some of the things you'll get paid to do:
Strategy & Budget
- Execution of the F'25 HR internal strategy in collaboration with the Leadership Team & Management Team (strategy, culture, internal design, change management, metrics and analytics)
- Provides leadership, guidance and counsel on matters related to retention, internal effectiveness, performance, internal change, benefits strategy, collaboration development, and Culture
- Leads Health & Dental Benefit program (recognition, benefits administration, wellness initiatives)
- Serves as a credible coach and confidante to leadership teams
- Provide end to end employee service and support needs such as leave management programs (LOA, STD, WSIB, LTD, maternity/parental) for their assigned departments and any related administrative needs
- Help to oversee the launch of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) across RFRK
Training, Development & Engagement
- Help lead a high performance remote working culture by developing remote-first operating principles, norms, and policies for the company
- Oversee the development of internal training to ensure that all training initiatives are completed on time and in accordance with the HR strategy.
- Identify new potential training initiatives internally and closing gaps in current staff
Compensation & Benefits
- Manage the employee benefits plan
- Maintain HR budget along with Senior Organizational Strategy Manager
- Lead on restructuring headcount planning & analytics
Employee Relations, Compliance & Disability Management
- Provide managers with tools to handle escalated employee relations issues including attendance, absences, disability management, terminations, etc.
- In collaboration with external HR and Legal teams, effectively resolves potential legal issues with minimal cost.
- Represent the Organization as a management team member of the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
- Lead the disability management, return to work and WSIB reporting program.

- Provide direction and act as a support resource to the various culture clubs at RFRK, ensuring that their that initiatives align with company values
About You
Must-haves
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum 5 years progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience managing and working within Dayforce HR
- Strong Health & Safety background
- CHRP/CHRL is an asset
- Experience managing and implementing an HRIS system
- Experience managing payroll & time management systems
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite & Microsoft Office
- Must be knowledgeable on key legal issues associated with HR practices in Ontario
- Experience partnering with business leaders on developing and driving initiatives.
- Change management leadership capability
- Excellent decision making and critical thinking skills
- Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment
- Structured and self-directed
