SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to spearhead the implementation of IT infrastructure and vendor application services within our regulated gaming facilities. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless integration and support of technology solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise, technical acumen, and regulatory knowledge within the racing and gaming sectors.

We are seeking a dynamic IT Project Manager to spearhead the implementation of IT infrastructure and vendor application services within our regulated gaming facilities. This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring the seamless integration and support of technology solutions while adhering to regulatory requirements and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise, technical acumen, and regulatory knowledge within the racing and gaming sectors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Lead end-to-end project management for the implementation of IT infrastructure and vendor application services within the gaming and racing industries.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable project plans.
- Coordinate with vendors to procure necessary hardware, software, and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of IT infrastructure components, including network systems, servers, and security measures.
- Facilitate system testing and training sessions to ensure smooth transition of IT services into production.
- Ensure all project documentation is accurately maintained and accessible for reporting purposes.
- Serve as a liaison between the Design & Construction team, the Operations Startup Team, internal stakeholders, and external vendors to elicit requirements and ensure implemented solutions match expectations.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones and deviations from the project plan.
- Collaboratively get work done through others without direct authority.
- Travel to project locations at key points in the project lifecycle.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Hold other teams accountable and make solid assessments when escalations are needed.
- May be assigned other projects as needed.
REGULATORY
Ability to obtain racing and/or gaming licenses as required in any jurisdiction where CDI operates. The Gaming industry is highly regulated and as such demands an extensive background check to obtain a license.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred. Ability to obtain within first year if not currently PMP certified.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in IT project management, preferably within the gaming industry or other regulated environments.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networking, servers, storage, and security systems.
- Familiarity with vendor application services commonly used in gaming facilities, such as player tracking systems, slot management software, and surveillance solutions.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and implementing compliance measures within IT projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software for task tracking, scheduling, and reporting. (e.g. MS Project, KeyedIn).
- Experience managing IT projects for new facility construction projects (greenfield/brownfield) is a strong plus.
- Project experience with Enterprise Solutions is also a plus (SAP, JD Edwards, Concur, Agiloft).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Regular use of a keyboard and mouse for typing and navigating software.
- Viewing a computer screen for prolonged periods.
- Ability to manipulate paperwork, including filing, sorting, and organizing.
- Moving within the office environment to attend meetings, use office equipment, or interact with colleagues.
- Occasional lifting of office supplies or paperwork (up to 20 pounds).
- Speaking and listening to colleagues and clients in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing.
- Working in a climate-controlled office environment with moderate noise levels.
- Performing repetitive tasks such as data entry or document preparation.
- Working under artificial lighting conditions typical of an office environment, which may include fluorescent or LED lighting.
